Before beginning, note that only an unlocked model can be programmed.
To check: press and hold a button.

• If the LED blinks once and then stays on: it’s unlocked.

• If it stays on continuously: it’s locked, and you won’t be able to program new remotes.

Also important: programming will cause your door to open. To avoid accidents, we recommend programming the remote from inside your garage.

You can program your remote in two ways depending on your needs:

1 – Using an Original Remote:

⚠️ WARNING: During programming, if you press the new remote first, you may erase your already programmed remote.

1. Place both remotes within 5 cm of each other.

2. Press P1 and P2 simultaneously on the original remote.

3. Hold them until the LED blinks (red on newer XTO models, blue on older XT models), then release.

4. While the LED on the original remote blinks, press and hold one of its buttons.

5. While holding it, press the same button on the new remote.

6. Hold until the LED on the new remote blinks twice, then release both.

7. Press the newly programmed button on the new remote twice.
   ✅ Your new remote is now programmed.

2 – Using the Receiver:

1. Open the receiver’s case.

2. Press P1 and P2 on the new remote until the LED blinks, then release.

3. On the receiver board, press the SW1 programming button.

4. The receiver’s LED should blink — release the button.

5. While the new remote’s LED is blinking, press and hold a button on the new remote.

6. The receiver’s LED will turn solid and then turn off — release the button.

7. Press the button on the new remote twice.
   ✅ Your remote is now programmed.
