Attention: This transmitter is not compatible with remote controls that have blue (868MHz), yellow (433MHz) or green buttons (27MHz & 26MHz) neither with black buttons (BiSecur) models.

Note: Make sure that you are buying the correct remote control. This is Hormann HSE2 model with the frequency of 40,685 MHz and grey buttons. The color of the buttons is linked to the frequency and models with different frequencies / buttons are not compatible.

Compatible with all Hörmann drives which operate under the frequency 40 MHz.

The grey colour of the buttons show that this hand-held transmitter is compatible with 40.685 MHz frequency. Hörmann remotes buttons have a specific colour for every radio frequency.

Note:The Hörmann HSE2 hand transmitter 40.685 MHz is the smallest of all current Hörmann hand transmitters at 40 MHz.It works with all garage door openers on The Frequency 40.685 MHz.

Note that Hörmann hand transmitters are only compatible with Hörmann garage door operators.

The 2 button hand transmitter can be programmed to support up to 2 automations.

Choose a remote control that operates under the same frequency as your original model to guarantee the compatibility of the two items. Otherwise, your remote won’t function on your automatism. The coding system of your new device also must be identical to the one of your original remote control to successfully control your motorized gate. 

It is important to know that there are three types of programming (coding systems) : Switches, auto-programming, and programming in the receiver. 

To choose the correct remote control, it is highly recommended to consider the following criteria : the brand, the frequency, don’t neglect neither the number and the colour of the remote control buttons. These elements are usually used by the manufacturers to identify their products. 

Ergonomics

Hormann HSE2 40 remote control is only 60 mm long, a width of 24 mm and a thickness of 12 mm. Its small and reduced size makes it very simple to handle and easy to use. Important steps of the programming

Remark: The programming will incite the opening of your garage door. To avoid an accident, we recommend that you program your remote control while you are inside of your garage.

Programming of your new remote control:

There are several methods for programming your new remote control

1- Remote-to-remote programming : 

Attention: During the coding process if you press one of the buttons of your new remote first, you risk erasing the codes of all the already-programmed remotes.

• Place an old remote control next to the new one so they touch, press a button on your old remote control.

• Keep the button of your old remote pressed, press the same button on your new remote till the LED light on your new remote control blinks slowly. Wait 5 seconds till the LED light blinks faster.

• Let the button go and repeat the procedure for each button you wish to program.

• Wait 10 seconds, your new remote control is now programmed !

2- Receiver-based programming :

Attention: Only use this method if you do not have a functional remote control. This programming method erases all the already programmed remotes.

• Approach your receiver located next to your motor. On the receiver, press the programming button P. The LED light on the receiver blinks slowly, let the button go.

• Press the button you wish to program on your new remote control. Keep it pressed down till the LED blinks faster then let the button go. 

• Wait 10 seconds.

• Your new remote control is programmed.
